Dear Friends and Colleagues,

Thursday evening there was a devastating fire at the Knesset Israel parsonage. Rabbi David Weiner, Judith, Joe, Ari, and Shira all got out of the house safely.

However, the house sustained a great deal of damage and nearly all of the contents were destroyed.

We are setting up an emergency fund to help purchase the immediate essentials such as clothing, toys, books, etc.

You can make a donation online through our secure website here: https://www.knessetisrael.org/donations.aspx.

If you would like to make a donation please be sure to indicate that it is for the emergency fund from the “Select Fund: drop-down list”

You can look at the example below to get an idea of what to do.

Thank you,

Ed Udel
President, Congregation Knesset Israel

You can learn more about the fire that destroyed the parsonage from an article in “The Berkshire Eagle” at http://www.berkshireeagle.com/ci_20501152/fire-loss-rabbi-and-his-family.
